Previene ISEM hasta 50% de infartos agudos al miocardio en salas de hemodinamia

*Especialistas realizan mil 539 cirugías gratuitas en 3 años, con ahorro, por paciente, de hasta 500 mil pesos de cirugía y tratamiento.

La intervención quirúrgica oportuna a pacientes con enfermedades cardiovasculares en las salas de hemodinamia del Instituto de Salud del Estado de México (ISEM) disminuyó en 50 por ciento la probabilidad de mortalidad por infarto agudo al miocardio.

Así lo informó la coordinadora de Hospitales de Alta Especialidad, María Elena Álvarez Lobato, quien indicó que en los últimos tres años se han realizado mil 539 cirugías, la mayoría con técnica de mínima invasión, que logró destapar la arteria y prevenir complicaciones.

“La técnica de angioplastia permite enviar una bomba o balón a través de una vía intravenosa, que libera una malla manométrica de metal en forma de tubo para expandir o destapar la arteria y así evitar complicaciones”, explicó.

Además, en las salas de hemodinamia los médicos especialistas implantaron marcapasos y atendieron pacientes de alta complicación, sin costo alguno, a través del Seguro Popular, con lo que cada paciente ahorró al menos 120 mil pesos de la cirugía y 400 mil del tratamiento que cuesta en hospitales privados.

Álvarez Lobato precisó que las salas de hemodinamia, que puso en marcha el gobernador Eruviel Ávila, cuentan con un aparato llamado angiógrafo, que permite tener análisis detallados del sistema circulatorio y detectar arterias tapadas, medir la velocidad de la sangre y las dimensiones de los vasos sanguíneos.

“Con la hemodinamia además atendemos enfermedades del sistema vascular periférico, embolia pulmonar y brindamos terapias vasculares neurológicas cuando se registran hemorragias y daños cerebrales”, indicó la especialista.

Explicó que las enfermedades cardiovasculares tienen origen en la herencia, la edad (a partir de los 45 años), hipertensión, diabetes mellitus, tabaquismo, sedentarismo, estrés, obesidad, sobrepeso, dislipidemia (elevación de colesterol y triglicéridos) y otras enfermedades metabólicas.

Recordó que las salas de hemodinamia se encuentran en los Hospitales “General Vicente Villada” en Cuautitlán Izcalli, de Alta Especialidad de Zumpango y el Centro Médico “Lic. Adolfo López Mateos” en Toluca, a cargo de médicos intervencionistas, cardiólogos, radiólogos intervencionistas, neurocirujanos y enfermeras especialistas.
