Derivado de la lluvia atípica que se presentó la tarde de este miércoles, el Gobierno de Ecatepec, a través de la Dirección de Protección Civil  y Bomberos de Ecatepec y personal del Sistema de Agua Potable Alcantarillado y Saneamiento  (SAPASE), activaron oportunamente la Estrategia municipal de Atención para la Temporada de Lluvias, para apoyar a la población de 10 colonias donde en algunos puntos los niveles de agua alcanzaron 50 centímetros de altura.

Indalecio Ríos Velázquez, presidente municipal, informó que alrededor de las 17:00 horas comenzó una tormenta que duró aproximadamente una hora y en algunas zonas del municipio cayeron 40 litros de agua por cada metro cuadrado, lo que provocó la acumulación en algunas vialidades.

Detalló que desde los primeros reportes de encharcamientos en comunidades como San Agustín, fraccionamiento Nuevo Laredo, Jardines de Morelos y Jardines de Santa Clara, y vialidades principales como Vía Morelos y Avenida Carlos Hank González (central), la administración local desplegó 15 cuadrillas con un total de 90 trabajadores y siete unidades tipo Vactor  para desazolvar y prevenir afectaciones mayores.

Ríos Velázquez señaló que el gobierno municipal desplegó diversas unidades de Protección Civil  para apoyo en la contención del agua, entre ellas 5603, en la colonia Laureles; 3020, en El Chapulín; 3035, en la zona de la Jumex; y  3003, en la colonia Granjas Valle de Guadalupe.

“Desde que inició la lluvia, se activó la estrategia de lluvias con la finalidad de que los vecinos no sufrieron daños a sus viviendas o a sus bienes. Fueron aproximadamente 10 colonias en las que los encharcamientos fueron mayores pero trabajamos con prontitud para contener el agua y desazolvar las coladeras”, dijo el edil.

Dijo que durante la noche continuarán los trabajos para desazolvar calles, avenidas y colonias  como Lourdes en San Agustín; Izcalli Ecatepec San Cristóbal Centro, Bulevares San Cristóbal, Guadalupe Victoria, Izcalli Ecatepec, Jardines de Santa Clara, Ejidal Emiliano Zapata, así como las vías Morelos y López Portillo, entre otras.

Reiteró que se encuentran unidades especializadas en diversos puntos como Vía Morelos, El Chapulín en Xalostoc, zona de bancos, fábrica Sonoco, PGR y Clínica 76.
