Ecatepec trabaja en prevenir la trata de personas

·         El gobierno local brindó 4 mil 400 pláticas a estudiantes de todos los niveles educativos.

El Gobierno de Ecatepec, en coordinación con la Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Estado de México  (CODHEM) y asociaciones como @Sin trata, ha impartido 4 mil 400 conferencias a estudiantes de todos los niveles educativos para sensibilizar, prevenir y concientizar sobre el delito de trata y generar un cambio cultural sobre la explotación.

Indalecio Ríos Velázquez, presidente municipal, informó que a través de la Unidad Especializada en Atención a Víctimas de Violencia Familiar y de Género la administración local brinda la atención ante este fenómeno, para ello capacitó a 400 policías municipales en este tema debido a que son ellos quienes tienen mayor acercamiento con la ciudadanía ante estos hechos, quienes a su vez replican sus conocimientos  a los estudiantes.

Señaló que con estas pláticas, el gobierno municipal también orientó a 197 mil alumnos,  docentes y padres de familia  con temas como el riesgo de subir información a las redes sociales,  alerta de género, trata de personas, acoso escolar, prevención de la violencia, entre otros.

«Queremos que nuestros servidores públicos y la ciudadanía en general cuente con la información sobre este delito para que en caso de detectar cualquier riesgo lo denuncie oportunamente y no sea una víctima; que los padres de familia estén atentos a las redes sociales de sus hijos con el propósito de que los policías detecten cualquier acto sospechoso y podamos intervenir a tiempo”, dijo el edil.

Agregó que internet es una de las vías por las  que operan los tratantes, por lo que es necesario que los padres  de familia  mantengan una comunicación cercana con sus hijos y estén al pendiente de sus redes sociales, ya que  a través de engaños o persuasión pueden ser víctimas  de explotación sexual o laboral.

Ríos Velázquez  indicó que como parte de las acciones de la Unidad de Atención a Víctimas de  Violencia   apoyaron a  una mujer de nacionalidad argentina en  la colonia Las Vegas Xalostoc, a quien mantenían con engaños para trabajar sin recibir salario, por lo que personal especializado la asesoró jurídicamente  para realizar su denuncia.

Para solicitar apoyo, la ciudadanía puede llamar al 5116 7428 al 32 de Centro de Mando,  al  5770 3128 de la Coordinación de Prevención del Delito y Unidad Especializada en Atención a Víctimas de Violencia Familiar y de Género o acudir a las oficinas ubicadas en el segundo piso del  Edificio Anexo al Palacio Municipal.
