Zinacantepec, Estado de México,  La halterista mexiquense Sub 15, Melissa Catalina Flores Díaz, conquistó la medalla de plata al levantar 57 kilogramos en su tercer intento en la modalidad de arranque en los 48 kilogramos.
Lo anterior en el primer día de actividades de esta disciplina celebrado en el Gimnasio de Usos Múltiples de la Ciudad Deportiva “Juan Fernández Albarrán”.
A pesar de fallar en su segundo levantamiento por sobrepasar el límite de tiempo, Flores Díaz se repuso en su último intento al levantar un peso total de 57 kilogramos.
La medallista de plata en la Olimpiada Nacional 2018 Melissa Catalina Flores Díaz agradeció a las personas que la apoyaron a lo largo de este camino y se dijo contenta y sorprendida por la obtención del segundo lugar en el Estado de México, donde tenía planeado pelear por un tercer puesto, pero sus levantamientos fueron superiores y le permitieron llegar al podio.
La medalla de oro fue para la representante de Jalisco, Amberly Enríquez, quien levantó 60 kilogramos, mientras que la medalla de bronce fue para la atleta de Yucatán, Ingrid Reyes, al levantar 54 kilogramos. 
En envión, la medalla de oro también fue para Amberly Enríquez al levantar 75 kilogramos, mientras que la plata fue para Ingrid Reyes al superar un levantamiento de 69 kilogramos y en el tercer puesto se colocó Anette Sandoval, de Sonora, al levantar un peso de 63 kilogramos.
Amberly Enríquez se consagró como la atleta del día en el arranque del levantamiento de pesas rama femenil, al llevarse su tercera medalla de oro en la suma total, al contabilizar 135 kilogramos, seguida de Ingrid Reyes, con 118 kilogramos, y Anette Sandoval con una suma total de 114 kilogramos.
