La alcaldesa de Tlalnepantla, Denisse Ugalde Alegría, encabezó la jornada de reforestación en la Sierra de Guadalupe, en la que servidores públicos de la administración municipal y personal de distintas empresas sembraron dos mil 500 árboles en este pulmón ecológico del Valle de México.
Acompañada por integrantes del Cuerpo Edilicio y funcionarios, la presidenta municipal agradeció la participación de todas las personas que se han sumado a este esfuerzo por preservar dicha zona ecológica.
Al respecto, el director de Medio Ambiente, Desiderio Torres Barrón, informó que la meta de este año es sembrar 20 mil árboles, con los que durante los tres años de administración sumarán más de 55 mil los que se hayan plantado en esta zona.
Indicó que en esta jornada participaron 750 personas, quienes de manera entusiasta y algunos de ellos en familia, plantaron distintas especies como pino grey, pino cembroide, palo dulce, acacia, copal y huizache.
El funcionario municipal hizo extensiva una invitación a todos los tlalnepantlenses para que participen en las reforestaciones que se continuarán realizando durante los sábados, de julio y agosto, para lo cual los interesados se pueden acercar a la dirección de Medio Ambiente y solicitar informes.
Cabe recordar que la Sierra de Guadalupe tiene una superficie de cinco mil 300 hectáreas, de las cuales mil 100 están en Tlalnepantla y el resto las comparten Ecatepec, Coacalco, Tultitlán y la Ciudad de México.
Esta área ecológica está rodeada de avenidas muy concurridas, de ahí la importancia de que se implementen acciones para su preservación y la reducción de gases contaminantes.
