Ofrecen a jóvenes servicios de salud sexual y reproductiva

• Promueven toma de decisiones responsables y uso de anticonceptivos.

Toluca, Estado de México.-Debido a que los jóvenes de 19 a 29 años de edad tienen mayores probabilidades de reproducción y de embarazos no deseados, durante la presente administración estatal, el Instituto de Salud del Estado de México (ISEM) ha otorgado entre este sector de población, más de 80 mil consultas y consejerías en planificación familiar, así como orientaciones en manejo de métodos anticonceptivos.

Con motivo del Día Internacional de la Juventud, que se celebra este 12 de agosto, el ISEM informa que su Departamento de Salud Reproductiva lleva a cabo estas acciones de manera permanente y gratuita en todas las unidades médicas de primer nivel de atención, ferias de salud e instituciones educativas.

 

 

Detalla que, de septiembre a la fecha, el ISEM realizó más de 700 talleres de orientación sexual en escuelas de diferentes niveles educativos, cuyo objetivo es informar acerca de la importancia de ejercer una sexualidad responsable y disminuir la incidencia de embarazos a temprana edad.

De igual manera, señala la institución, el personal de salud capacitó a más de 17 mil adolescentes como promotores y brigadistas que replican la información referente a salud sexual y reproductiva.

Lo anterior fortalece el bienestar de los jóvenes mexiquenses al promover la toma de decisiones responsables con el uso de anticonceptivos, además de asegurar el acceso a servicios de ginecología y obstetricia, con lo que igualmente se reduce el riesgo de contraer infecciones de transmisión sexual.
