El Oro, Estado de México.-Como parte del programa Acciones para el desarrollo de espacios artesanales en destinos turísticos, se entregó, en El Oro, la señalética que orienta a los turistas para que visiten los talleres con el propósito de acercarlos a los espacios de trabajo de los artesanos y esto se traduzca en mayores ventas para ellos.

Aurora González Ledezma, Secretaria de Turismo en la entidad, señaló que se trata de un programa que se instrumenta con recursos del Fondo Nacional para el Fomento de las Artesanías (FONART), y en territorio mexiquense lo gestiona el Instituto de Investigación y Fomento de las Artesanías del Estado de México (IIFAEM).

Detalló que en esta ocasión se beneficia a la comunidad artesanal del Pueblo Mágico de El Oro, municipio que ya cumplió con las etapas previas que consisten en formación, desarrollo y capacitación de los artesanos, así como la remodelación de los talleres, fase que a su vez contempla la rehabilitación de sanitarios, de los espacios de exhibición y del área de comercialización.

La funcionaria estatal destacó que el programa se diseñó para implementarse en los Pueblos Mágicos o en demarcaciones con una presencia artesanal importante, que cuenten con atractivos que sean visitados por los turistas y con talleres artesanales cercanos al centro del municipio.

Aseveró que estas acciones se suman a los esfuerzos que realiza el IIFAEM por robustecer la actividad artesanal en el Estado de México, para que las maestras y maestros artesanos de la entidad cuenten con las facilidades para estimular sus ventas, elevar su nivel de ingresos y, sobre todo, para poner en valor el importante trabajo que realizan a diario.
