Enrique Vargas del Villar, edil de Huixquilucan, Estado de México, asumió hoy la presidencia de la Asociación Nacional de Alcaldes (ANAC), para un periodo de seis meses, en sustitución de Isidro López Villarreal, alcalde de Saltillo, Coahuila, quien el pasado viernes tomó protesta como nuevo dirigente de la Conferencia Nacional de Municipios de México (CONAMM).

En un evento que se llevó a cabo en la sede nacional panista y en donde el presidente nacional de este partido, Ricardo Anaya Cortés, le tomó la protesta de ley, Vargas del Villar se comprometió a seguir impulsando la agenda municipalista, a fin de fortalecer las capacidades de los 419 municipios de origen panista en el país, los cuales gobiernan a más de 27 millones de mexicanos.

Una de sus principales tareas, dijo, será impulsar la creación del mando mixto policial en todo el país y para ello mencionó que posee la experiencia necesaria, ya que en los primeros cien días de su mandato en el municipio mexiquense de Huixquilucan, ha logrado bajar la incidencia delictiva en un 23 por ciento, con lo cual es reconocido como el más seguro del Estado de México.

Se comprometió a trabajar para dar a conocer los principales logros de los municipios panistas; por el fortalecimiento del partido y buscar la mejor vía para llevar a sus alcaldes a la reelección, pero sobre todo para que desde los municipios hacer que el PAN, regrese a Los Pinos en 2018.

Por su parte, el presidente saliente y ahora dirigente de la CONAMM, Isidro López Villarreal, comentó que dejaba la presidencia de la organización panista, para asumir plenamente la de todos los municipios del país, sin distingo alguno de colores partidista, para hacer del municipio una organización fuerte  y sólida.

En el evento, que se llevó a cabo en la CEN del PAN, estuvo también el secretario general de este partido Damián Zepeda; el coordinador de los diputados panista, Marco Cortés y el coordinador de elecciones del CEN, del PAN, Santiago Creel Miranda, entre otros.

También en la reunión, Ricardo Anaya tomó la protesta de los dos vicepresidentes de la ANAC: el presidente municipal de Jesús María, Aguascalientes, José Antonio Arámbula López y el delegado en Benito Juárez, Christian von Roehrich.
