La Secretaría de Salud ha iniciado las jornadas de celebración por el 50 Aniversario del Hospital para el Niño del Instituto Materno Infantil del Estado de México (IMIEM), las cuales se realizan durante este mes y con actividades académicas, presentación de investigaciones, eventos deportivos, sociales y culturales, conciertos y ceremonias de reconocimiento.
Del 12 al 14 de noviembre, en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMex), se realizarán Jornadas Académicas con ponentes del Instituto Nacional de Perinatología (INPer), Hospital Infantil de México, Instituto Nacional de Cancerología (INCAN), colegios y asociaciones del país, que hablarán de temas como trasplante, cáncer, cuidados paliativos, urgencias, salud mental e infectología en niños.
La dependencia invita a médicos, especialistas, enfermeras, estudiantes de medicina, rehabilitación, nutrición, trabajo social y atención paramédica a participar en dicho evento. El personal del hospital será capacitado con talleres de Presión positiva continua en la vía área, Ventilación de alta frecuencia, y Reanimación Neonatal, este último reconocido por la Asociación Estadounidense del Corazón y la Academia Americana de Pediatría.
Para el 10 y 11 de noviembre habrá jornadas deportivas y una carrera atlética de 2.5 y 10 kilómetros en el Parque Metropolitano de Toluca y el día 15, la Orquesta Filarmónica de Toluca ofrecerá en el Teatro Morelos un concierto de gala en beneficio de los pacientes de este hospital; se esperan ceremonias de reconocimiento y convivencias.
