Villa Victoria, Estado de México. Con la cosecha de ocho medallas de oro hasta el momento, Nuevo León se posicionó en el primer sitio de Canotaje, de la Olimpiada Nacional y Nacional Juvenil.

Desde la primera regata del día, el cuadro regiomontano se adjudicó el metal dorado en la prueba K-4 500 metros de 14 a 15 años femenil, donde la cuarteta conformada por Priscila Vázquez, Claudia Palacios, Mariana Reyna y Paulina Rodríguez detuvieron el cronómetro en 1:56.42.

Las representantes de Nuevo León se mostraron contentas por esta presea y Priscila Vázquez señaló que contaron con suerte, ya que al volcarse el equipo de Jalisco se acrecentó la diferencia con el segundo lugar.

«Empezamos bien en el primer lugar, pero Jalisco se repuso. Entonces remamos más fuerte, ellas se volcaron y al final ganamos. El equipo terminó cansado, pero salimos adelante», afirmó.

Por su parte, Claudia Palacios subrayó que su nivel aumentó en su segunda participación en Olimpiada Nacional y Nacional Juvenil al colgarse la medalla de oro.

«Llevo tres años participando en esta disciplina y desde las primeras pruebas mostramos aptitudes, por eso fui seleccionada y ésta es mi segunda participación y superé la medalla de plata conseguida la vez anterior, la cual dedico a mis padres, hermano y entrenador por el apoyo que me han brindado», apuntó.

Nuevo León también conquistó la prueba de K-1 500 metros de 14 a 15 años con José Carlos Soto, mientras que Andrea Rocha se colgó la medalla de oro en K-1 500 metros de 16 a 17 años.

En K-2 500 metros de 18 a 21 años, la dupla conformada por Brenda Gutiérrez e Ivy Salas se llevó el primer lugar al superar a las representantes de Baja California y Tamaulipas.

En este penúltimo día de actividades celebradas en la Plaza Estado de México «María Guadalupe González Romero» de Villa Victoria, Nuevo León sumó ocho medallas de oro, cuatro de plata y una de bronce.

El segundo lugar lo ocupó Jalisco con cuatro metales dorados, tres de plata y dos de bronce, mientras que la Ciudad de México se adjudicó una medalla de oro y tres de bronce.
