Recibe Edoméx 78 mil dosis de vacuna contra hepatitis B

Toluca, Estado de México.- La Secretaría de Salud del Estado de México informa que recibió 78 mil dosis de la vacuna contra la Hepatitis B, mismas que se destinarán a pequeños que no hayan recibido la primera  dosis.

Estas inmunizaciones que fueron enviadas por el Gobierno federal, a través del Centro Nacional para la Salud de la Infancia y la Adolescencia (CeNSIA), ya se han distribuido a las 19 Jurisdicciones del Instituto de Salud del Estado de México (ISEM).

La dependencia señala que la escasez pasada de la vacuna contra Hepatitis B, se debió a que la producción mundial se detuvo a finales de 2017, por lo que la falta de la misma afectó a todo el país.

Aclaró que este biológico es de importación, por tal motivo el abasto se encuentra sujeto a lo que generan  laboratorios extranjeros.

Es importante mencionar que para garantizar el buen estado de las vacunas, el sistema de regulación en México, a través de la Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (Cofepris), lleva a cabo trabajos meticulosos de verificación con el objetivo de asegurar su calidad antes de enviarlas a los centros de salud.

Esta vacuna, según la Cartilla Nacional de Vacunación, se aplica mediante inyección intramuscular en el muslo izquierdo, en niñas y niños de 18 meses de edad y a partir de los 11 años en las y los adolescentes que no hayan tenido dosis previa.
