Policía de Naucalpan obtiene certificación de CALEA

La Dirección General de Seguridad Ciudadana y Tránsito Municipal (DGSCyTM) de Naucalpan, logró la certificación que otorga la Comisión de Acreditación para Agencias de Seguridad Pública (CALEA por sus siglas en inglés), a través de la que se avalan los procedimientos en el actuar de los elementos de la corporación.

El Presidente Municipal, Víctor Hugo Gálvez Astorga, indicó que en la ciudad de Grand Rapids, Michigan USA, se llevaron a cabo las audiencias y exámenes finales del proceso de acreditación inicial, con las auditorías a distintas áreas de la policía municipal.

La Policía Municipal obtuvo el reconocimiento gracias al trabajo en el mejoramiento de sus procedimientos. En este sentido, detalló que en total fueron 189 estándares evaluados por CALEA, tales como el actuar de los elementos de la corporación, grupos especiales y administrativos; organización, entrenamiento, capacitación de personal, academia de profesionalización, Centro de Control, Comando Comunicaciones y Cómputo (C4) y área jurídica.

Como parte del procedimiento, en los meses de diciembre de 2017 y febrero de 2018, los auditores de la organización internacional visitaron las instalaciones de la Dirección General de Seguridad Ciudadana y Tránsito de Naucalpan, para verificar sus procedimientos, los cuales fueron evaluados satisfactoriamente.

La corporación municipal señaló que el objetivo de los trabajos de certificación, es conformar una corporación eficaz, confiable y que cumple los protocolos nacionales e internacionales de actuación, así como fortalecer los procesos de formación de los policías municipales y la proximidad con la sociedad.

Destacó que con estas acciones, la DGSCyTM continúa impulsando acciones que permiten aumentar la profesionalización de los elementos de seguridad para cumplir de mejor manera sus funciones, incrementando la confianza de la ciudadanía, ya que su actuar estará regido por estándares de calidad internacional.

De esta forma el municipio de Naucalpan se convierte en la primera corporación de todo el Estado de México en contar con la certificación internacional CALEA.
