Naucalpan, Estado de México.- La Comisión del Agua del Estado de México (CAEM) informa que sostendrá una serie de reuniones con las autoridades de los municipios que se verán afectados por el corte al suministro de agua potable que reciben del Sistema Cutzamala, para trazar la estrategia conjunta a seguir.

Además, con el propósito de que la ciudadanía y las autoridades municipales tengan más elementos para disminuir las afectaciones, la CAEM solicitó a la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua) un mayor caudal para la entidad, días previos a los trabajos de mantenimiento al Sistema Cutzamala.

La solicitud al organismo federal y las reuniones con los municipios permitirán a la CAEM apoyar de mejor manera a la población afectada, en la medida de sus capacidades operativas.

Éste es el tercer corte del año al suministro de agua potable, programado por la Conagua, con el fin de mejorar la eficiencia de la infraestructura hidráulica, por lo que la CAEM reitera el llamado a la ciudadanía a tomar previsiones de almacenaje y hacer uso responsable del agua.

La Comisión estatal mantendrá una comunicación permanente con los organismos operadores de los municipios de Toluca, Nicolás Romero, Atizapán de Zaragoza, Huixquilucan, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Cuautitlán, Ecatepec, Naucalpan, Tlalnepantla, Tultitlán, Coacalco, Nezahualcóyotl y Tecámac, donde se estima que 3.61 millones de habitantes deberán tomar sus previsiones y ajustar sus hábitos de uso del agua.

Los trabajos de mantenimiento que realizará la Conagua durante aproximadamente 72 horas, a partir del próximo 31 de octubre, consisten en la instalación de válvulas de seccionamiento, instalación de dos desfogues e interconexión de alta presión de las líneas 1 y 2 del Sistema Cutzamala.
