Exhorta Secretaría de Salud del Edoméx a seguir medidas preventivas de contaminación para evitar daños a la salud

Los niveles de contingencia ambiental afectan el sistema respiratorio, ojos y hasta el corazón.

Naucalpan, México.- La Secretaría de Salud estatal se sumó a las medidas para disminuir niveles de contaminación ambiental y exhortó a los mexiquenses a contribuir en ello para evitar afectaciones en la salud.

La dependencia puntualizó que está comprobado que la contaminación atmosférica causa afectaciones al sistema respiratorio, ojos y hasta el corazón.

«Provoca tos, dolor de garganta, pecho, cabeza, fatiga inusual, falta de aire, estrechamiento en las vías respiratorias, bronquitis crónica, asma, irritación en los ojos y baja oxigenación de glóbulos rojos, entre otros», expresó el secretario de Salud, César Gómez Monge.

Refirió que de acuerdo con un estudio del Centro de Vigilancia Epidemiológica del Estado de México (Cevece) a largo plazo la contaminación puede ocasionar cáncer y también tiene impacto directo en el infarto agudo al miocardio.

«Es muy importante que cada quien ponga la parte que le corresponde, que todos hagamos lo que nos toca para contaminar menos, tiene que ver con el «Hoy no circula», con manejar la separación de basura en el hogar, con hacer conciencia en las repercusiones que puede tener en nuestra salud», apuntó.

Advirtió que los problemas de salud son irreversibles si no se toman las medidas adecuadas, por lo que exhortó a la población a sumarse y a no realizar actividades físicas al aire libre durante la contingencia ambiental.
