Toluca, Estado de México.- Por décima ocasión, la Televisora New Tang Dynasty (NTD), convoca a la Competencia Internacional de Piano NTD 2018, a efectuarse del 20 al 23 de septiembre en Engelman Recital Hall, Baruch Performing Arts Center de Nueva York.

Este certamen, cuya inscripción podrá realizarse hasta el 31 de julio de 2018, en el sitio web https://competitions.ntdtv.com/piano/, está abierto a pianistas mexicanos y mexiquenses de entre 17 y 40 años de edad, bajo los títulos de Pianista concertista, Intérprete profesional, Profesor de Piano y Estudiante o ex alumno de un instituto de música

La ronda preliminar se efectuará el 21 de septiembre, la semifinal el 22 de septiembre y la final y ceremonia de ganadores será el 23 de septiembre, donde el primer lugar obtendrá 10 mil dólares, el premio de plata 6 mil dólares y el premio de bronce 3 mil dólares. También se reconocerá a la mejor interpretación de pieza asignada con 3 mil dólares.

En la edición anterior, Dmitri Levkovich, de Canadá, Evgeny Starodubtsev y Oleg Khudyakov, ambos de Rusia fueron los ganadores del primero, segundo y tercer lugar, respectivamente; donde compitieron más de 40 pianistas concertistas provenientes de 16 países de Asia, América del Norte, Latinoamérica, Australia y Europa.

NTD Televisión es la principal cadena mundial independiente del régimen chino, sin fines de lucro, establecida por quienes radican fuera del país oriental. A lo largo de 10 años se ha comprometido con la excelencia artística y con el legado de más de 250 años de literatura pianística, destacando las obras maestras para piano del periodo barroco, clásico y romántico.
