Debido al inicio de la temporada de estiaje, Víctor Manuel Báez Melo, director del Organismo Público Descentralizado Sistema Aguas de Huixquilucan, informó de la implementación de un plan emergente de apoyo, que permita disminuir posibles afectaciones por la reducción del caudal ante el aumento en el consumo de las personas, en este periodo de calor.

Detalló, que de manera permanente estarán dos o tres pipas en la zona residencial –parte alta-, las cuales suministraran el líquido desde  temprana hora, toda vez que al registrarse una baja en la presión, el caudal del sistema Cutzamala es más débil y afecta la distribución.

Estas acciones, dijo, se tienen previstas durante abril y los primeros días de mayo, ya que posteriormente se espera el inicio de la temporada de lluvias, que favorecerán al municipio. “Se tiene un plan de prevención con apoyo de pipas que puedan disminuir la afectación a la población”, resaltó.

Báez Melo comentó, que durante el estiaje, la disminución del caudal se estima en un 25 por ciento, principalmente en abril, que se suma al incremento de la demanda de la población a causa de calor.

Debido a que el municipio depende en gran medida del sistema Cutzamala, el director del Organismo Público Descentralizado Sistema Aguas de Huixquilucan, señaló que por instrucciones del presidente, Enrique Vargas del Villar, se tiene contemplado crecer en fuentes de abastecimiento propias y con ello brindar a la ciudadanía un mejor servicio.
